Jessica Pare Tattoos
I can remember using my very first finger paints and my Dad teaching me how to smudge a pastel at our kitchen table. Since I was just a little toddler my parents nurtured my artistic interests and I carried it all the way through school. I studied Illustration at Sheridan College for 3 years and from there my interests expanded to the medium of tattoos. In 2001 I apprenticed with Jay at Addictive Tattoo and now in 2009, my husband and fellow tattoo artist, Trent Pare and I have a beautiful son named Jack and together we own Eastside Tattoo Parlour in Vancouver,
BC, Canada.
My personal style of tattooing is illustrative, silly and has a slight cute factor. I love to draw characters, flowers, filligrie, script and I love to use lots of color. I think tattoos are as individual as the person who wears them and shouldn't be chosen off a wall.
My favorite tattoos are ones with a story. For every feeling there is a color and for every significance or insignificance in ones life, there is a tattoo that can reflect that piece of history. Funny or melancholy, loves lost or found, there's always a reason to get tattooed.
